This spectacular 17th Century villa was constructed around a 15th Century. Set in the heart of Umbria, it has been painstakingly restored to bring it back to its original splendour, and combines historic features with modern amenities. The villa, along with its farmhouse and other outbuildings, its Italian gardens, and the surrounding park, have all been declared of particular historical interest.
Villa/Tower : Architect Tarchi drew upon 16th and 17th Century Roman and Tuscan palaces in the design of the villa, adding a dramatic front façade looking out over the Italian gardens. From stone terraces on the second floor, the breadth of the entire property and its dramatic landscape can be seen. The interior of the villa is breathtaking in its attention to architectural detail and adornment, whilst at the same time retaining warmth and comfort. On the ground floor a grand parquet lobby leads to two large reception rooms and an exquisite wood panelled library. A corridor leads onto a third reception room and dining room. The lobby, library and reception rooms all contain original frescos depicting medieval and classical scenes. The kitchen has been fully restored and equipped with all the latest required appliances.
